Obituary for Jessie Anne Backus
Jessie Anne Backus, Age 61, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, May 31st, 2020 after a long battle with heart and lung diseases at HopeWest Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was born to Dorothy (Diller) Backus and Donald Backus on June 14th, 1958, in Bakersfield, California. Growing up in California and Kentucky she had a happy childhood with her older brothers. She lived a life full of adventure, love and fun. She ensured that everyday was spent with friends, family and loved ones. She loved any and all animals, but especially her service dog Tank, and the black bears on Baxter pass which she would feed treats to.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father and 4 of her 5 brothers. She is survived by her brother, Walter Backus, her aunt, Teresa Myers, her two children; Kristy Yacoubian, Peter Yacoubian (Spouse), Son, Robert Lamm, and her four grandchildren; Samantha Brewington, Rebecca Brewington, Nathaniel Brewington and Hailee Yacoubian. There will be a service held for her on June 14th, 2020 at Legacy Funeral Home at 11 AM. Any flowers should be sent to Legacy Funeral Home on Horizon Dr..
