Obituary for June Elizabeth Gifford (Hoffschneider)
June Elizabeth Gifford passed away peacefully on Monday December 9, 2019. June was born on January 20, 1936 in York, Nebraska to Edmund Herman Hoffschneider and Fay Estella Gifford.
She worked as a cook, waitress in her earlier years, and mastered being an upholsterer which she did for over 30 years.
On December 2nd, 1950 June married the love of her life, James Lewis Gifford.
Survived by two daughters and two sons: Donna J. Rice, Sandra L. (Carl) Klocker, Edmund R. (Kathy) Gifford, William H. Gifford, Daughter in law, Peggy J. Gifford, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband James L Gifford, son, James E Gifford, daughter, Betty Anne Gifford, Great grand son, Joshua Gifford, parents Ed and Fay Hoffschneider, five brothers and one sister.
Attended a Lutheran church most of her life but joined First Presbyterian church in Grand Junction several years ago.
She was a wonderful seamstress as well as a cake decorator.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 8th, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 3940 27 1/2 Road Grand Junction, CO 81506.
