Obituary for Lula Blasdel

Lula Blasdel
Lula Mae Blasdel, age 94, of Grand Junction, Colorado and longtime resident of New Albany and Greenville, Indiana, as well as Cross City, Florida where she had many close friends, passed away on January 24, 2018. Lula was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Services will be held at a future date in Greenville, Indiana.
Lula was born June 20, 1923 at home, near Lancaster, Kentucky.
Lula was married to Norman Blasdel on July 25, 1942; they were married 52 years.
Lula worked as a seamstress and a cosmetic sales person. She was always very actively involved in her religious faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses along with her husband. She was at her happiest whenever she was engaged in helping someone learn the truth of God’s word from the Bible.
Lula is survived by: son Glenn Blasdel and wife Sharon of Grand Junction, Colorado; grandson Travis Blasdel of Crawfordville, Florida; granddaughter Tiffany Evors and her husband Michael of Austin, Texas; and six great grandchildren Landon, Chandler, Jasmine, BryAna, Kaitlin, and Christian, brothers Hanley Taylor and wife Beth of Greenville, Indiana and John E. Taylor of New Albany, Indiana; sister Vivian Bomersbach and husband Hoyt of New Albany, Indiana, also many nephews and nieces, and other family and friends.
Lula is preceded in death by: husband Norman Blasdel; parents Hayes and Clara Taylor; brothers William and Henry Taylor; sister Thelma Zinninger; and great granddaughter Kameron.
